What form do your peptides come in?

Every Ascend peptide ships as a sterile, freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder in a sealed glass vial. Lyophilization removes moisture so the peptide stays stable through shipping and long-term storage. Because they're supplied dry, our peptides aren't ready to use straight from the vial — they're intended to be reconstituted with an appropriate solvent in a research setting.

Do you include a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

Yes. Every lot we release has its own lot-specific COA, and you can view and download the exact one that matches the vial in your hands. We don't issue generic or representative paperwork — the results you see correspond to your precise lot, not a stand-in.

What testing does each lot go through?

Before a lot is released, we run a multi-point analytical program and report the results on the COA, including:

Purity — chromatographic purity of the peptide
Net peptide content — how much active peptide is actually in the vial
Identity — confirmation the peptide is what the label says
Sterility — that the product is free of viable microbial contamination
Endotoxin — bacterial endotoxin screening

Quality is the whole point of Ascend, so a lot doesn't ship until it passes.

Why doesn't my vial have a strong vacuum?

Not every vial has a noticeable vacuum, and that's by design. To limit moisture during storage, our vials are sealed under nitrogen or vacuum, and the level of draw can vary from vial to vial without affecting quality. The definitive confirmation that your vial is sealed, sterile, and within spec is its lot-specific COA — not how strongly the stopper pulls.

A product I'm looking for isn't listed. Can I request it?

Possibly. We're deliberately selective, so our catalog may look leaner than others — that's intentional. New products go through raw-material sourcing, analytical testing, and process development for filling and lyophilization before they earn a place in the lineup, which takes time. How should I store my peptides?

We recommend storing sealed, lyophilized peptides in the freezer. Kept dry and frozen, they stay stable for long-term storage. When you're ready to work with a vial, bring it to room temperature before reconstituting to reduce condensation. Once reconstituted, store the solution refrigerated at 2–8 °C (above freezing) and protect it from light.

How do I reconstitute a peptide?

Because our peptides are lyophilized, they're brought into solution with a solvent before use in research. In general terms: allow the sealed vial to reach room temperature, then introduce your chosen reconstitution solvent slowly against the vial wall rather than directly onto the powder. The volume you use depends on your protocol; the vial size for each product is listed on its product page. We stock several reconstitution solutions (including 0.9% benzyl alcohol, 0.6% acetic acid, and preservative-free options) so you can match the solvent to your research.

How should I store reconstitution solution?

Sealed reconstitution solution can be kept at room temperature until its printed expiration date. Once a vial is opened, date it and discard any remaining fluid after 28 days, or sooner if it becomes cloudy, discolored, or otherwise looks compromised.

Why 28 days? Our 0.9% benzyl alcohol solution is bacteriostatic — the preservative slows microbial growth but doesn't stop it, and its effectiveness declines a little with every needle entry. A 28-day beyond-use window for preservative-containing multi-dose containers follows standard sterile-handling guidance (USP <797>), so we recommend the same limit. Preservative-free solutions offer no such protection and should be treated as single-use.

What are Ascend products intended for?

Our products are intended solely for laboratory and scientific research — academic, commercial, or institutional. They are not manufactured or sold for diagnosing, treating, preventing, or curing any condition in humans or animals. We may ask you to confirm your intended use before accepting an order, and orders that fall outside the terms in our Terms & Conditions won't be accepted. If you're unsure whether that describes you, Ascend probably isn't the right fit.

Are your products safe for human consumption?

No. Ascend products are not approved for any medical use and are not safe or suitable for human or animal consumption. They are sold only to, and for handling by, individuals and organizations qualified to work with research materials in a laboratory setting.

Do you offer bulk or tiered pricing?

We offer Standard Shipping (5–7 business days) and Priority Shipping (2–3 business days) via major carriers. Standard shipping is free on qualifying orders.

Contact us first to let us know a return is on the way.
Ship the unopened, unused item back using a trackable service so it can be verified in transit.
If you no longer have the original shipping box, use a padded mailer to protect the vials.
Include a note or packing slip with your name, order number, and whether you'd like store credit or a refund.

Once we receive and inspect the return, we'll process your credit or refund.
